Clearing the Air with Clean Green Woody Biomass Energy

"Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts." - Daniel Patrick Moynihan

This web site is sponsored by Laidlaw Energy for the purpose of providing information on projects we currently have under development.  We expect to update the site on a regular basis, so please check back for updates.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Laidlaw Energy is engaged in the development of independent power plants that generate electricity from renewable resources, such as biomass (clean wood chips).  The power plants that Laidlaw Energy seeks to develop typically have much lower emissions and significantly greater efficiency than traditional utility coal fired generation.  Additionally, unlike power plants that use fossil fuels, such as coal, Laidlaw Energy focuses on developing projects that are green house gas neutral, so our projects will not contribute to the creation of acid rain or Global Warming.

Our business was founded on the philosophy of making something meaningful to improve people's lives and to change the world for the better by promoting the development of cleaner energy through renewable resources.

A Message of Support from Iraq

Laidlaw Energy President & CEO Michael Bartoszek recently received the following e-mail from a member of the US military stationed in Iraq.  We thought it was important to post this on our web site to remind everyone why developing domestic sources of renewable energy is so important.

Good Morning Sir,

I just wanted to say that I support you and what you are doing. I'm
here in Iraq and I will say that we in the U.S. are spoiled...burning fossil
fuels and other limited resources at an alarming rate. I live day to day
here...eating greasy food and living in substandard housing to make a
buck...it's not easy sometimes...but in the end...it keeps me humble
and appreciative of the things I have waiting for me at home. I wish you,
and your endeavor to bring this power plant [in Ellicottville, NY] online,
continued success. With
kindest regards, Mark
